Awenda Provincial Park: Tiny Township,ON

Located at the Northern Area of Tiny Township, along the shores of Georgian Bay, Awenda is one of my (Melissa’s) favourite parks. Awenda offers good sized campsites, with good privacy, and shaded under tall oaks. There are many km’s of hiking trails, and numerous beach areas to spend your days. This park also offers a 2-bedroom cottage to rent as well.

Turtle and Hawk campgrounds are the furthest from the beach, and many people choose to drive from their site to the beach; though, with the robust trail system you can hike your way there and cool off in the Georgian Bay waters. Awenda Provincial Park is both a campground during spring, summer and fall, but also remains open for day use during the winter months as a great place to cross-country ski or snowshoe.
