Spring and Summer at Blue Mountain

Just 2 hours from Toronto, 1 Hour from Barrie, and 50 minutes from Owen Sound, The Blue Mountains is accessible for all be it a day trip, weekend getaway, or your next vacation home!

Whether you prefer to keep your feet on the ground or soar through the skies, there’s something for everyone in and around Blue.

Here are just some of the adventures you can experience this spring and summer at Blue Mountain:

Apex Bag Jump (On Resort)

Take a leap of faith on the Apex Bagjump. Work your way up to the maximum height of 6.5 meters (21 feet) and prepare for a free fall onto the airbag waiting below. Satisfy your inner thrill seeker!

Weather and conditions permitting. Light dependent. Ticket sales end 30 mins prior to closure.

Big Blue Air Tours (Off Resort)

Enjoy a scenic helicopter tour of Blue Mountain Village, Collingwood, Wasaga Beach or Creemore. Enjoy a scenic helicopter tour of three selected areas along Georgian Bay.

Blue Mountain Beach (Off Resort)

Just 10 minutes from the resort awaits our private beach on the shore of Georgian Bay. Dip your toes in the shallow waters and wade in the surf or venture a little deeper with a boat rental: canoes, kayaks and stand up paddle boards are available to rent at Blue Mountain Beach. Take advantage of comfort stations complete with change rooms and complimentary towel service for overnight guests.

Prefer to stay on land? This beach is equipped with kid friendly climbs and sport equipment to ensure everyone’s beach day has the right mix of sun and fun

Access to the beach is complimentary for overnight guests of Blue Mountain Resort and we recommend relying on our courtesy shuttle to take you to and from the beach as parking is limited. Shuttles run every half hour seven days a week during high season (June 23 – Sept 4). Day visitors and guests not staying at Blue Mountain Resort may access the beach at a rate of $29 per car load after 3pm daily.

Looking for a little yoga? Try our beachside yoga class! Namaste with us every Saturday, Sunday and Holiday Monday at 10:45am. Start your day saluting the sun on our private beach property, then cool off with a dip in Georgian Bay. Class is available to overnight guests of Blue Mountain Resort and a complimentary shuttle is provided.

Canoe and Kayak (Off Resort)

Paddle the day away. Experience a gentle paddle down the Beaver River in your canoe or kayak and get in touch with nature.

Rental Times: 7 days a week, 9am – 5pm 

Cascade Putting Course (On resort)

Kids and adults can test their golfing skills at the Cascade Putting Course. Cascade offers bunkers and water hazards just like a full size course, but on a smaller scale. Situated at the base of the Niagara Escarpment, this 18-hole, par-67 putting course is landscaped with a limestone backdrop, waterfalls and inspiring features that highlight the beauty of the natural surroundings and panoramic views.

Caving (Off Resort)

Uncover caves carved by the glaciers. Explore the natural crevices hat lie with the Escarpment. Guide, helmet, and head lamp included.

The Rock Climbing Wall (On Resort)

Wall Climbers can overcome anything! Grow stronger and reach new heights as you scale and overcome our Climbing Wall. Become a natural in no time with everything you need to succeed including modern climbing equipment. Bring previous wall climbing experience or come as a beginner for an opportunity to reach the top of Blue Mountain.

Collingwood Charters Sightseeing Tour (Off Resort)

Enjoy boating on the bay. Relax aboard the Huronic while friendly staff provide you with facts about the surrounding area. (Minimum 4 people required per ride)

E-Bike Tours (On Resort)

Pedal as much or as little as you’d like. A new way to get around the Georgian Bay area. Take a guided tour on one of our new fleet of pedal-assisted electric bicycles. Includes guide fee and bike rental.

Gondola and Scenic Caves Nature Adventures (Off Resort)

Take sightseeing to the next level. Enjoy a scenic Gondola ride to the top of the mountain and then explore the Scenic Caves. See Refrigerator Cave, squeeze through Fat Man’s Misery and walk across the suspension bridge.

Duration: 2+ hours

Heli Tour and Wine Tasting (Off Resort)

White, Red or Rose is a helicopter ride away. Take in the luscious scenery of the Pretty Rive Valley. Sample a selection of fine local wines, paired with a variety of cheese and fruit.

Duration: 1.5hrs

Hiking (On Resort)

Self Guided Hikes with Endless Choices. A great way too start the day is with a trek along one of Blue Mountain’s hiking trails. Trails range in difficulty, and every trail rewards visitors with the gorgeous vistas and natural wonders of the Niagara Escarpment.

Join our complimentary Columbia Guided Hikes starting at 10:30am (meet in front of Columbia Sportswear).

Hiking is self guided unless a part of the Columbia Guided Hike. Proper footwear is recommended. Lightweight sandals are not suitable.

Note: Gondola rides down will be $8+HST per person.

Hummer Tours (Off Resort)

The most fun on four wheels. This exhilarating experience is packed with excitement. You will be chauffeured off-road in a customized H1 Hummer. Guests will be picked up at the village.

Jet Ski (Off Resort)

Experience the joy of a jet ski. Drive your own Jet Ski for loads of fun on Georgian Bay. Instruction and Guide included. Must drive to location.

Mill Pond Activity Center (On Resort)

Tour Blue Mountain’s Mill Pond by Boat. Paddle in the Mill Pond’s waters located at the heart of Blue Mountain Resort. Snap some photos from your paddle boat as you explore the picture perfect marine life that call our pond home.

Monterra Golf (On Resort)

Exceptional golf trips tailored to your game. An inclusive course designed to exceed their own expectations from tee-off forward. Monterra Golf features rolling bent grass fairways, 86 bunkers, ravines, creeks, lakes and elevated tee shots in an inspiring mountain setting that makes for memorable rounds. We take care of little details like GPS tracking on all carts so that you can focus on the big picture.

Monterra Tennis (On Resort)

Succeed on state of the art courts. Practice with a partner or play for points. Tennis players with experience and those planning a debut can come ofr a clinic or bring a friend or two for a team match. This high tech indoor tennis facility consistently delivers exceptional lessons, clinics and games for its guests.

Mountain Biking (On Resort)

Trails for every taste. Blue Mountain is home to some of Ontario’s best bike trails. Start off on the flowing single track, and work your way up to the technical downhill descents We’ll provide lifts to the top of the trailheads, and you can enjoy the magnificent views of Georgian Bay and surrounding region.

Mountaintop Segway Tours (On Resort)

It shouldn’t be hard work to play hard. Explore Blue Mountain’s vast wooded terrain with Mountaintop Segway Tours. Enjoy this scenic off-road trek along the top of the Niagara Escarpment with your friends, family or group.

A trained guide will show you the way as you operate your own “two-wheeled” Segway transportation machine and take in the views of Blue Mountain Village and Georgian Bay.

Open Air Gondola (On Resort)

All of Blue Mountain at a glance. Come with a perfect day in mind and plan it en route with a 360 degree view of everything as you approach the top. The open air gondola provides perfect pictures for avid planners as it gently rises to the picnic areas and scenic lookouts above. Cameras welcome!

Paddle and Wine Tasting (Off Resort)

Enjoy a uniquely local experience. Our best-selling Apple Pie Trail Adventure and most relaxing culinary trip. Paddle down the Beaver River, and then it’s off to Georgian Hills Winery to test three different wines paired with cheeses. Must drive to location.

Pedal Paddle The Blue Mountains (Off Resort)

Cycle, Eat, Paddle, Repeat. Ontario’s signature experience! It’s a Gondola-cycle-eat-paddle-cycle-drink adventure. (Yes, it’s a BIG day!). If you have the energy, you won’t be disappointed!

Plunge! Aquatic Centre (On Resort)

Sit back and relax while your kids make waves. Relax in the hot tubs or on the dock where you can watch your kids invest whole new water games with help from the rope swings, docks, and water slides. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools and indoor water playground make Plunge popular in all seasons with swimmers of all ages. Come for refreshing family fun and leave rested and ready for your next Blue Mountain adventure.

Forgot your sunscreen or swimsuit? Don’t worry! Plunge! Aquatic Centre has a fully stocked Tuck Shop located in the lobby that has all your last minute swimming needs covered with a variety of water-related merchandise.

Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster (On Resort)

Chart your course at up to 42 km/hr! Glide along 1km of track and tour the terrain, or turn it into a thrill ride at speeds up to 42 km/hr. Ridge runner is a simple and equipment free favourite among all ages. We’ll keep you on track busy as with most things at Blue Mountain, you are the driver.

Rock Climbing (Off Resort)

Experience nature’s climbing gym. Challenge yourself by scaling a real rockface in a safe and guided outdoor environment. Must drive to location.

Timber Challenge High Ropes (On Resort)

Bring tried and true (and some new) techniques. Climb ladders, cross bridges, and cruise zip lines. Increase your comfort zone and find creative ways to navigate the exciting elements in store for you on this challenging Ontario ropes course. Individuals and teams will test their inner and outter strength as they overcome new challenges on their own and with a little help from friends.

Wind Rider Triple Zips (On Resort)

No bags, no reservations, no turbulence. Embark on an aerial adventure as you pilot from platform to platform at cruising altitude of 50 feet. Zip lining will give you an extraordinary perspective on the outdoors as you experience the freedom of flight. Come alone for a private adrenaline rush, or bring co-pilots for a memorable ride along parallel Zip Lines.

Woodlot Low Ropes (On Resort)

Climb as high as you like with low ropes. Ropes, Logs and beams, cargo nets – connect the dots as you see fit. Work your way up a custom course that challenges you to reach new heights. Young climbers will gain greater confidence with problem solving while finding creative solutions to unique challenges.
